How Should I Prepare For The Scan?

No special preparation is needed for your scan. You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Before the scan you will remove jewelry or anything that might interfere with imaging such as earrings, necklaces, piercing, hairpins or eyeglasses. Because the x-ray technician may scan you with or without dentures or other appliances, depending on what your dentist requests, always bring these with you to your appointment.

Is There A High Level Of Radiation?

No. The Cone Beam scan delivers a radiation dose that is from 10 to 30 times less than a conventional medical CT scan.
