Gisela joined Aventura Dental Arts in January 2017, she brings over 18 years of clinical experience, she has always enjoyed working with people and truly enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain a beautiful and healthy smile. She is passionate about working with periodontally involved patients, she loves the challenge and feels fulfilled providing our patients with gentle care and an exceptional experience. Gisela is originally from Bogota, Colombia where she attended dental school and graduated as a dentist. She moved to Minneapolis, MN over 25 years ago and in 2003 she moved to Florida where she became licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist, she’s certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, bilingual (English-Spanish), and she’s a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and Florida Dental Hygienist Association. She has been married to her husband, Edgar, for 28 years and they have one daughter, Stefhany, who is in the last year of dental school at the University of Florida becoming a dentist in May 2018. They have made their home in the Aventura area where they stay active and busy. Gisela loves dogs and cats and her favorite hobby is going to the gym, playing tennis, going to the beach and enjoys going out with her husband and friends.
